Welcome to Faith Community Church

FCCSM -

Mission Statement

Faith Community Church Student Ministries (FCCSM) exists to serve our church, community, country and ultimately and most importantly our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We do this by teaching and training the next generation of church leaders who are currently in their careers as middle, and high school students.

We use a program provided by the Word of Life Local Church Ministries, whose founder Jack Wyrtzen's most famous quote was "I believe it is the responsibility of each generation, to reach their generation for Christ!"

We have no greater calling!

The training we focus on is summarized in two words, Evangelism and Discipleship

Evangelism - Teaching students the gospel of Jesus Christ, and informing them of their need to be Saved

Discipleship - teaching those that respond to the Gospel how to follow their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through knowing him better. To accomplish this they must be taught to understand scripture, it being the only source of truth, and the only reliable source for all information pertaining to life and godliness.

To help encourage Discipleship we focus on establishing godly habits in the lives of the students. There are 5 areas of concentration.

1. Daily Devotions (we use the WOL Quiet Time)

2. Scripture Memory (24 verses are memorized throughout the year)

3. Christian Service (15 Christian service projects are performed)

4. Faithful Church Attendance

5. Reading Christian Books

Our understanding of discipleship goes beyond the "classroom" When Jesus taught his disciples they were not in a classroom setting. They lived with him, walked and talked. Understanding this we find great value in hosting and participating in different activities throughout the year to provide opportunity for our leadership staff to spend time with the students and develop relationships to foster opportunities for learning in life situations from those who are already adults living for Christ.

Our standard of success is touching the lives of the students that participate in our program in such a way that their greatest desire in life is to honor God with their lives, so that they will continue the process and teach their children and future students the good news of the gospel, and train them to do likewise.

2 Timothy 2:2 "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also."
